Juniors FC CIC is a social enterprise company, established in 2008, approved by the ‘Companies House Regulator’ and is monitored on a regular basis. As a ‘Community Interest Company’ it has been set up to conduct business for community benefit and not for private advantage. This is achieved by a "community interest test" and "asset lock", which ensures that the CIC is established for community purposes and the assets and profits, are dedicated to these purposes. All surplus profits are allocated to its voluntary community beneficiary clubs.
Its main aim is to provide professional support to the voluntary community
it serves. It provides this by running a range of qualifications, awards
and courses for members of its ‘Leadership Academy’ and managing the coaching
and development for the young people who take part in physical activities
run by local sports clubs.
It also provides professional management for community inclusion and mentoring
projects, and works closely with partner agencies that involve support
for young people and their families – predominantly involving sport, art,
music and drama.
It also runs projects to generate income and runs community enterprise
projects that raise significant funds - all to be re-invested back into
the community.
We invest 100% of our profits back into the areas that need them the most.
This level of donation could only be achieved by a company with a social
enterprise status and associated values.
We recognise that sport can shape, develop and improve young lives. We
are committed to making sport as accessible as possible for as many young
people as possible, allowing them to benefit from the life skills and
experiences that only sport can provide.
We want to work alongside schools, sports clubs, charities and companies
adopting Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects, and to gain recognition
as a name that stands for quality, value and that re-invests in grass
roots sports. We aim to provide parents/carers and children with an opportunity
to ‘get to the top’ – an opportunity to make a difference, have an influence
on improving things and to become as good as we can be.
Trading Names:
Due to the diverse range of services we now provide we operate under different
trading names – but all are part of Juniors FC CIC:-
Get to the top:
‘Get to the top’ is the name that we now trade as / operate under. This
reflects the fact that we are no longer purely involved in junior football.
It also avoids the confusion that Juniors FC CIC is a junior football
club – it is not. Most of the services we provide, other than online services,
are promoted and run as ‘Get to the top’ and we promote this at www.gettothetop.co.uk
So for details of what we provide please visit our main site – www.gettothetop.co.uk
United JFC:
United JFC is simply a name used to signify the United Philosohpy adopted by all the independent voluntary football clubs that are supported by Juniors FC CIC.The clubs have a United website at www.unitedjfc.co.uk
For all football info regarding the clubs and teams please visit www.unitedjfc.co.uk
The Leadership Academy:
One of the main aims of the CIC is to support its members via ‘The LEADERSHIP
ACADEMY’ consisting of:
• 14 – 19 year old volunteers
• Parents and family of active club members
• Adult Volunteers
• Paid Session Staff – Qualified and Experienced Teachers, Sports Leaders,
Coaches and Officials.
The Leadership Academy operates under its own name and has a specific
role to play within our services. For full details please visit our policy
link at www.gettothetop.co.uk
and view our Leadership Academy Aims document.
www.clubshop.org.uk
www.clubshop.org.uk is a community enterprise project that we manage in
partnership with a Rochdale based youth mentoring charity – Pals Mentoring
Ltd.
Our aim is to generate a profit from online trading and to distribute
this profit for the benefit of the charity and the voluntary clubs we
support.
We also provide this opportunity to other voluntary football clubs outside
of our own ‘beneficiary community’.
www.juniorsfc.co.uk
www.juniorsfc.co.uk has been retained as a domain name because we now
use it to provide a range of specialist online services to the football
sector.
These details can be accessed from this site.
Any profit we generate is provided back to the voluntary clubs we support.
We use the funds to improve the quality of their support; this may be
better quality football pitches and training facilities or more qualified
voluntary coaches and referees and paid session coaches to run high quality
soccer schools that feed into the clubs.
